Hours fly by at the water playground in the Roman Park in the municipality of Aldenhoven, especially in summer.

The park, which was used decades ago by local miners and their families for recreation, is still a popular meeting place for young and old in the municipality of Aldenhoven. The water playground in particular invites families with children to spend a relaxing day in the park. A detour to the town center is also possible directly from the park. The playground has a variety of play equipment. The focal point of the water playground is the pirate ship, which is complemented by a slide, several climbing options and a climbing palm tree. The loving and child-friendly design on site includes an anchor and a treasure map. Various play options are available on site, so that different swings and a hammock can be "conquered". In addition to a nest swing, a normal swing and a group swing, very young children can also have fun on the baby swing. There is also a ropeway, a sand excavator, various other climbing facilities (climbing spider) as well as a seesaw and various seesaw animals.

The playground is accessible all year round, the water in the water playground is only turned on when the outside temperatures are warmer.

In addition to the water playground, there is also a football pitch and an outdoor gym. Numerous benches and picnic areas invite you to linger.

The former railroad line in the southern part of the park leads to the so-called GrünZug, which is around one kilometer away. Seen from the air, this special landscape is actually reminiscent of two parallel railroad trains filled with Chinese reeds, rapeseed and various fruit trees. If you are looking for peace and quiet or simply want to go for a walk, you will find a variety of paths between the forty "wagons" of the GrünZug that lead to the Indeaue. A "dining car", play areas for children, spacious ergonomic concrete loungers and gentle, green hills in the "couchette cars" await you there - a place that charmingly combines the experience of nature and relaxation.
