Rural, warm, quiet and beautifully situated in the Eifel on the edge of the National Park, family-owned since 1924 and now run by the 4th generation, with the 5th generation already in the starting blocks. The "Schenke" with its cozy atmosphere has been preserved in its original form. The warm ambience allows you to linger even after your meal. Here you can chat, play a game or simply enjoy a glass of wine ... Approx. 40 seats - everyone will find their favorite corner here. The restaurant seats approx. 45 guests, but you will still find modern comfort in the 12 individually and lovingly furnished hotel rooms. Various garden terraces around the house invite you to dream, enjoy or simply relax ... an oasis in spring and summer. The cuisine, which is characterized by local products, has always grown with the demands of the guests, always striving to offer quality and regional dishes. You won't find any showy cuisine with lots of frills here, but a down-to-earth, clear and honest way of cooking.arrive and take a deep breath in the Talschenke.

Our house is located on a mountainside, just a few steps from the forest and a 10-minute walk from the village center. The ascent to our house is steep, the view correspondingly impressive - unless you are from Tyrol...The apartments are on the first floor. Many beautiful hiking trails pass by here. The vacation apartment is located away from the main road, quietly and centrally in the center of Schmidt am Rursee. Schmidt is surrounded by forest and is located right next to the Eifel National Park. Lake Rursee is only 2 km away and is ideal for swimming, fishing, canoeing, sailing and diving. The vacation resort of Schmidt is situated on a high plateau approx. 480m above sea level, in the Rur Eifel directly on the Rursee. A good starting point for hikers and water sports enthusiasts.

This cozy vacation apartment on the edge of the national park offers space for two people and is an ideal starting point for unforgettable bike tours, hikes and explorations of the Rureifel and the Eifel National Park. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom with shower and a comfortable bedroom with a waterbed. The 45 m² apartment in Nideggen-Berg offers a perfect location for excursions to the Rureifel and the only national park in North Rhine-Westphalia. A bus stop is just a few minutes' walk away and a special highlight is the private terrace, where a jacuzzi is available on request in the summer months. The apartment also has its own parking space and is just a 10-minute drive from several supermarkets, a post office, a pharmacy and numerous restaurants and stores in the charming old town of Nideggen.

The vacation apartment is located in Kommerscheidt, a district of Nideggen-Schmidt, at the end of a quiet side street directly on the edge of a field and forest. The apartment is detached. It was built from 2017 to 2018 and will be rented out as a vacation apartment for the first time from mid-April 2019.above in the immediate vicinity is the pond, a natural body of water that offers a cool place to linger, especially in midsummer with its surrounding trees.from the dining table, on a clear day, there is a wonderful view of up to 70 km into the flatter surrounding countryside between Jülich and Cologne.within the village there are shopping facilities for daily needs. There are 2 bakeries, a supermarket, a post office, a gas station, a pharmacy, as well as a doctor (general practitioner) and a dentist. If you want to keep your own kitchen cold, 3 restaurants offer the possibility to have a good dinner in the immediate vicinity after an exciting day of hiking or excursions. Two banks (Sparkasse and Volksbank) are located in the village, minimum stay 2 nights.
