Description

If you start at the parking lots of the train stations in Obermaubach or Untermaubach, you will quickly reach the Obermaubach reservoir (also a parking lot), where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the reservoir. This low-traffic loop is easy to cycle, but requires cyclists to be in good physical condition.

    Open at all times

    The renaturalized Inde (Indeaue) was created in the course of the relocation of the open-cast mine and now runs for around 12 km through a wide floodplain landscape in a near-natural state. As a natural area that can be experienced, it offers attractive paths, tranquillity, nature observation and a special insight into the structural change of the Rhenish mining area.
