Here’s what awaits you at the training center
Several areas combine to form a large adventure playground for cycling fans. Even the youngest kids can ride their first laps on the Kids Track with a bike or balance bike, while more advanced riders can really pick up speed on the pump track. Designed as a continuous loop with built-in waves, turns, and jumps, the pump track is perfect for active riding. The Jumpline takes riders high up over a series of jumps lined up one after another. Technique and balance take center stage in the Skills Area, where various challenges featuring wooden elements await. Riders can also practice navigating root sections on the rock and root trail. For a break in between, there’s also a small rest area with a rustic cabin, tables, and benches.

A visit to the mountain bike training center can be wonderfully combined with other excursions in the region. The Vennbahn Bike Trail—one of the longest former railroad-right-of-way bike trails in Europe—is just a few minutes away. The RurUfer Bike Trail and the Eifel-Höhen Route also run nearby. All budding cycling fans who are still too young for the training center can let off steam at the Clara-Viebig playground, which is about a three-minute bike ride away. Various places to stop for refreshments are located just a few minutes’ bike ride from the training center in the town center.
