Düppelsmühle
The Düppelsmühle near Titz is a trestle windmill that originally stood in Efferen, a district of Hürth, and was built around 1708. In the 19th century, the trestle windmill was bought by Johann Heinrich Treiber. He moved the mill, which was still in good condition and easy to dismantle, to Titz. It was in operation until 1950. In 2014, it was destroyed by a lightning strike and was repaired thanks to a grant from the budget committee of the Bundestag.
The windmill is privately owned and can only be viewed from outside the private property.
