There is a lot to discover at Brückenkopf-Park Jülich, a family and leisure park. With its Napoleonic fortifications, the park offers around 30 hectares of leisure fun for young and old. At the heart of the historic fortifications is a so-called Kronwerk. Activity areas blend harmoniously into garden and woodland landscapes. Visitors can expect well-tended gardens, play and activity areas and oases of peace. Highlights for children are the numerous playgrounds such as "Kind & Kegel", the water play areas and mini golf. For older children, there are climbing rocks, disc golf, a football pitch, a beach volleyball court and a skate park. Visitors will also find parks, forest walks, natural orchards and beautiful gardens. Several animal enclosures and aviaries of the Brückenkopf Zoo with over 400 animals are also integrated into the grounds. Absolute favorites are the meerkats, white fallow deer, arctic wolves, kangaroos and porcupines. But many other furry companions such as donkeys, goats and wild boars also delight visitors young and old. Over the years, the Brückenkopf Park has also established itself as an extracurricular place of learning.
