The market square in Düren will be transformed into an atmospheric open-air movie theater on July 12 and 13, 2025 ! In cooperation with the Lumen Filmtheater, visitors can expect a special cinema experience - in the middle of the city center, with a summery atmosphere and selected film highlights for young and old.

Saturday, July 12, 2025: Greatest Showman

The film tells the story of P.T. Barnum, who changed the world with his circus. Rousing songs, spectacular images and the message to believe in dreams make the movie an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Sunday, July 13, 2025: The Last Name

The German comedy "Der Nachname", the sequel to the successful film "Der Vorname". The family comedy about a chaotic reunion on Lanzarote delights with apt dialog, unexpected twists and an outstanding cast.

On both evenings, we show exciting films on a big screen that invite you to laugh, reflect or simply enjoy. Around 500 seats are available in a cozy open-air atmosphere - those who arrive early will secure the best seats! It starts at around 20:45.

Food and drink will be provided: the outdoor catering on the market square is expanding its areas, and a stall selling popcorn and nachos from Lumen will round off the cinema evening.
