The church was shaped in particular by the legendary “Annahaupt” and the postwar reconstruction of Düren. In a remarkable feat led by architect Rudolf Schwarz, the church was rebuilt from its own ruins in a new form. To this day, it remains an important gathering place for Düren residents, visitors, and pilgrims.
